Have to go and see the diabetic team on 19 June to see how I have to manage it. I’m guessing diet control with it being so far off and my numbers weren’t that bad from my Hba1c only 53 the first one, not sure what the second one was as she only said I’m diabetic

Probably a stupid question but I’m having another Hba1c next week, can I get my reading down in that time or is it wishful thinking

So did you just do diet control no medication? That’s good to hear you’ve done really well

Thank you for taking the time to reply I really appreciate it, I’m going for another test next week to confirm so need to wait for that but I am going to definitely look into ways of getting it down regardless

Just had my hba1c results after a fasting glucose test of 8.1. The hba1c test result is 53 and the doctor wants me to have another one

Yes I was confused as I thought 8.1 would be diabetic. I’ve got an appointment for the hb1ac on Tuesday morning so will see what that says. I definitely need to lose weight so that’s something I’m going to work on

I called the doctors today to see what my result actually was and it was fasting glucose 8.1, they didn’t say what last years was and I need to wait to speak to the doctor on Thursday
