    Neuropathy symptoms dismissed

Interesting. So the B12 is helping? I've never really tried that because my B12 levels when tested have always been plenty high. Should I reconsider?

Has anyone been able to reverse neuropathy?

Mine came on suddenly after quickly lowering my blood sugar levels back in to the normal range. No symptoms when I was diagnosed. Burning in my feet came on suddenly about 6 weeks after normalizing my levels. That was 7 years ago. It was awful at first, got about 50% better after a month or...

    Neuropathy symptoms dismissed

Not much helped a lot early on. It was pretty bad for a few weeks, and then I saw pretty steady improvement for a few weeks. I would say about 50% better in a few weeks following the worst, but improvement was slow from then on. For me, I would have good weeks, followed by bad. Different...

prickly feeling in fingers and toes after eating, is this always a bad sign ?

Interesting. I am going through the same thing right now with my fingers. I haven't noticed if it happens after eating. I'll pay more attention to that. It came on about 3 months ago, gradually got better, but can re-appear some days. It's worse in my left hand. Thought it might possibly...

    R-ALPHA LIPOIC ACID

Everything I have read says use the R version. Others here have said 600mg/day is recommended.

Maybe a little. I'm still pretty early on. I'm going to stick with it.

Warning signs of diabetic neuropathy in my feet?

I have heard that meds don't work that great for numbness, but can help with pain. I don't really want to be on meds either, but it could be worth a visit with your doctor.

Warning signs of diabetic neuropathy in my feet?

Sorry to hear you are still struggling with this. For me, it came on suddenly after lowering blood sugar quickly after diagnosis. Really bad burning early on. Slowly got better year after year. A couple of months ago, I would have told you I was about 80 percent back to normal and happy with...

    R-ALPHA LIPOIC ACID

I take one tablet in the morning and one in the evening. The one I am using is 240 mg, so I am getting 480 mg/day. Hoping it helps with burning in my feet. Don't know if it is helping yet, but I've only been on it for a few weeks. Many say 600 mg/day is where you need to be.

    Treatment induced diabetic neuropathy???

Stay after it. Hopefully you get some relief soon. Like I mentioned, mine slowly but steadily got better over the past 5 plus years. Trying to figure out what caused this recent flare up. Mine seems to vary in intensity too. How about for the rest of you?

    Treatment induced diabetic neuropathy???

Have you tried keeping your blood sugar down by going low carb and dropping medications? It may or may not make a difference, but just curious. Hopefully even though this came back again, it will fade to a very low level again. Anyone tried red light laser therapy? I haven't tried any of the...
