    My hubby diagnosed as type 2 but straight onto insulin, Tresiba. Has such problems with high bg levels, plus desperately needs to put weight on.

    Hi. Any recommendations Tried everything. Protein powders.calogen shirs.high fat diet 6ft and knky 8.5stone. GP and diabetes specialist no help. Dietician in close contact but cannot seem to put weight on Thank you

    Healthy weight

    Hi. Hubby type 2 desperate to gain weight. So much info for people on weight loss. Obv have all usual info, eat dairy, high calorie etc but all of these obv affect carbs and blood sugars. Would be good to see if anyone else has same problem

    Acute Pacritits and weight loss

    Hi. My hubby in similar position. After immunotherapy and chemo he developed diabetes and weight has dropped off him despite having good appetite etc. No answers from anyone. After 3 years, had consultant appt in Jan 22 Thereafter consultant changed appt to 2023 . No answers I'm afraid.

    Weight LOSS T2!!

    I've been on insulin once a day since 2019, supposedly T2. I was 72kg when diagnosed, I'm now 54kg!!! Tried everything, good appetite. Check carbs but aim for high calories. Anyone else with weight loss not gain. I read on here Tresiba causes weight gain... not for me it doesn't. Thanks in advance

    Hi, Just asking whether anyone using above insulin regime, once a day injection? It doesn't seem to kick in for hours and hours and then supposed to stop after say 18hrs max BUT I end up low early mng??? Thanks

    7 weeks post T2D diagnosis and struggling

    I understand all the above but my hubby has to add to all this, the fact that he needs to put weight on. Low carbs for type 2 does not achieve this. He is diabetic due to drugs for cancer

    T2 caused by cancer treatment

    Many thanks for must helpful reply. I will email as you suggest. The cancer treatment that resulted in T2 was immunotherapy. His appetite is good, always hungry in fact. We are indeed eating mostly meat, protein, dairy etc. Thank you again for suggestions

    Hubby diagnosed T2 and immediately put in humalin 1. Told to follow low carb. Trouble is, as posted previously, the last thing he needs is to lose weight. 72kg before diagnosis - 10 min he is 63kg. Not ideal but despite seeing dietician and adding cream, butter etc etc, the weight will not...
