Placenta Failure & Baby loss :(

I had a stillbirth few years ago but I didn't have postmodern for him so it was speculated, along with a tight true knot on his umbilca cord. They assumed placenta failure as I had two mild hypos after breakfast on two consecutive days. The third day I had an appointment with the midwife who...

    Possibly ill?

@Grant_Vicat, thank you for the reply. My bg is back down again to single digits . I'm still running a temporary basal rate of 125%. I did have hypo over night for giving myself to much correction insulin. But it was simple hypo to treat and it woke me up. I might have over worried as I'm...

    Possibly ill?

@helensaramay, thank you for the reply. Yes, I know for me anything above 14 reading my correction dose jumps to 1unit of insulin to 1mmol (I think it is called), for example when bm was 18 I took 10 units of correction to bring bm down to 8. I thought 8 is the highest result I want after a...

    Possibly ill?

Ok, thank you very much for the reply and wisdom. I been diabetic since 2007 and this is the first time it done this. Yes, I been lucky and been ill only few times but not enough to mess with sugar like this. Maybe I respond differently being overweight now compared to healthier me.

    Possibly ill?

I feel well in myself but my normally well behaved bm control decided to be stubbornly high since last night. I changed my cannula and used a fresh insulin vial around lunch time. I also increased my basal rate by 15% as recommended when sick. I over corrected lot of times yet my bm drops to...

    Pregnancy targets

My last pregnancy, my doctor said. Your are diabetic, if you had perfect sugar all the time then you wouldn't be diabetic. That said you need to try your best to get near perfect as possible. That for me was a relief as near perfect was something I could have achieved and perfect readings all...

    Pre conception tablets

They didn't affect my bm but they made me feel truly nauseous and I got illuminated urine. So I personally switched to seven seas one, which are smaller and I get no side effects with them. If pregnacare one, don't work with you maybe try a different brand.

Is an insulin pump just another insulin delivery device?

I'm glad I started with mdi and then moved onto a pump. To program a pump to give a good baseline you would need to do a lot of testing. I liked how everything was done step by step. Yes, I was higher first few months and felt hypo 10, but alongside my dsn we brought it down gradually and let my...

    How to keep Libre on

Thank you all for the advice. I have ordered the Tegaderm on amazon now. I'm a sweaty person, so I'm hoping the tape works. I did use the alcohol wipes and let it dry before attaching it. I put both of them on the back of my arms (first one on the right side and the second on the left).

Can you resolve GD while pregnant?

I don't know about gestational diabetes, but as type 1, I was told to come in for a check up if I got unexplained low sugar. It is probably fine, but it is something worth checking up with doctor or specialist diabetes midwife soon.
