    Question Re Breakfast Cereals

I had similar issues. Almost every cereal in the supermarkets have added sugar. The absolute lowest I could find was plain bran sticks, but that's still carbs. Some suggest eggs, but they don't always sit right with me. What I've settled on is finding the highest fat and lowest natural sugar...

    Freestyle Libre + Type 2

Hi Folks For context I'm T2, 41, not overweight, and take 1.5g SR metformin as well as linagliptin. Found out about 18 months ago. My HbAC1 dropped rapidly after diagnosis due to medication and watching carbs. I also dropped a little bit too much weight, ending up with 30" waist jeans so the...

Anxiety - side effect or cause?

PS, not listed on all sites, but both fatigue (which is also an occasional problem) and anxiety are listed as side effects of Trajenta (the gliptin I take). Only been on it a month, and it seems to be working so loath to stop yet. Also as above, it may not be the problem.

Anxiety - side effect or cause?

That's really interesting... especially the part about changes in BG possibly causing anxiety. Because of a number of factors, including intense exercise now and then, I do fluctuate quite a bit. Especially trying to match food intake to energy expenditure so I dont keep losing weight. I am not...

Anxiety - side effect or cause?

Thank you, what you says makes a lot of sense and picks up on the more 'holistic' angles I was trying to get my head around. Trying to treat and manage my diabetes is a big part of it all, but not the whole story; we are complicated machines and there is other stuff going on as well which all...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hi... daft question as just stumbled onto this thread. What target readings are you guys working to for first thing in morning, pre meals and 2 hour post prandial?

    What pudding can I have?

Full fat Greek or Icelandic yogurt are great. Nothing flavoured or low fat. Tend to be high in protein so fill me up too. Personally for added fruit as you say a hand full of berries tend to be fine, but need to be careful on other fruits as some have too much carb / sugar content. I'm also...

Anxiety - side effect or cause?

Hi All I am about 6 months into my journey; now on 2g of SR metformin along with 5mg of linagliptin. All gradually uptitrated, none of the usual side effects, and linagliptin only for the last month as I was suffering from post prandial spikes. I have also massively cut carbs as per usual...

Well, from not really knowing why I posted, you guys have helped me put things back into perspective again. I'm feeling more positive, and in the right frame of mind to regroup and reattack. Thank you!
