    Medtrum A6 pump

Kim Possible Sorry, Hope I didn't annoy you. I'm just finding it quite hard to nail down some advise about the Medtrum. It would be a shame to loose someone like yourself as it looks like you have been doing this for quite a while with good advise. Thank you for your time Richard

Accu-Check Aviva Insight - handset issues

I've been on the Accu-Chek Combo for 4 years now and basically it works well. The only fly in the ointment is that you have to fill the vial (reservoir) yourself rather than use a prefilled cartridge on the insight. The handset or PDM is relatively quick but has its own foibles as with all...

    Pump problems

I have heard that your body tries to heal itself around the cannula and therefore stops the absorption of the insulin at the site. Maybe try and change every other day. I know its a faff but its got to be better than injecting with a pen or syringe.

    Accuchek Solo Pump

mariposa84 after seeing your post I phoned up Accu-Chek as my combo is up for renewal. They said that the trial on the Solo is finished and that it will be coming to market soon. I then contacted my DSN who said that they are aware of the Solo but as yet will not be using it in the Exeter area...

    Accu chek Combo verses Insight

KMCW I've been on the Combo for 4 years now and basically it works well. The only fly in the ointment is that you have to fill the vial (reservoir) yourself rather than use a prefilled cartridge on the insight. It does lead to air bubbles in the vial and line, especially with a new bottle of...

    Medtrum A6 pump

Thank you Kim Possible and slip. I've managed to find an online manual for the Medtrum A6 and associated PDM. It looks as though I might stay with Accu-Chek as there seems to be a lot of agro just to fill the pump up and then put it on. With my Combo PDM, I just take a blood test with the PDM...

    Medtrum A6 pump

My Accu-Chek Combo is up for it's 4 year renewal and I was wondering which pump to go for next. Does anyone out there know if the Medtrum A6 system has a BGM (manual not CGM) which has a bolus to pump system. At the moment using my Accu-Chek Aviva Combo I take a BG test with a strip, tell the...

    Accu-Chek Combo supplies

I was told that by Roche it was only the flex link plus was being stopped and I had to move over to the normal flex link. Had to get special disclosure from DSN so that I could move over. It took ages and not sure which end the fault was at.

Constant issues with Accu-Chek infusion sets

Hi Chris, I have been using the accu-chek combo know for last 4 years and have come upon a few issues with the cannulas. What you are experiencing sounds like what happened to me when I traveled to Australia. I had only been there for a day or so when I realised I had forgotten my insertion...

    Accu-Chek Insight Problems

Hi Mike, If I get a Hi BG using my Accu-Check insight, I make sure that my cannula isn't leaking from any part of it at all. A quick check can be had by dabbing a kitchen towel on the cannula after a bolus to see if you can see a wet patch. I now see that 50% of my Hi BG's are caused by...
