    Finally..... getting a freestyle !!

Just had a look in phone settings : There is one called " NFC and payment" ..... make mobile payments, share data, and read or write NFC tags. That sounds promising.

    ambulance chasers

Thanks all for further feedback, appreciated. I will put this discussion on the back burner for now, and see what my Dr says next week.. As it stands now i have zero confidence in local team, my inclination is to withdraw contact with them and just get on with things solo, for better or worse...

Thank you all for the feedback, its very insightful. Regarding the C-Peptide test, apparently there are 3 components to it, i was negative for the first 2, and positive for the final one, i think that was one of the excuses offered for the mis-interpretation of the test. I have been worried...

    ambulance chasers

One of my DNs ( who has now sadly moved job ) was forever saying to me she thought i was a T1 ( normal weight etc ), she pushed this up to her superiors, but was knocked back ( she told me this personally, and said it had taught her a lesson to stand her ground in future ) Anyway, partly at her...

    ambulance chasers

Just looking for opinions... If you had been misdiagnosed as T2 for over 3 years, would you consider getting in touch with a Lawyer specialising in Medical Negligence ? Theres more ( negligence ) than the general statement above.....

    FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor alarms

They said my case has to be appraised by 2 seperate consultants ( this would obviously be done by phone in current situation ) and then goes before a "panel" . I said ok, start that process off, thus far have heard nothing further.. To be honest, how i am feeling currently, i am done with them...

    FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor alarms

Wish i could get a Libre, been refused on grounds of cost. ( Been injecting since December 2019 - after being mis-diagnosed as T2 for over 3 years ) So, i made my feelings known a couple of weeks ago to them - i wasnt the most diplomatic, but its my health ... Funny, i havnt heard from them...

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

DaveP - I drive for a living ( courier ) and the DVLA recommendation is to not go below 5, so my main focus while working is not to get too low rather than worry too much about straying higher.

    Statin tablets ?

Cheers for the feedback All ! I will most certainly get at least a second opinion from my Doctor. I was also shocked as my chloresterol has always been good ( no idea why, just lucky i guess ) I remember when i worked at a large company, they tested everyone, and i was in the lowest 5 %..

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Thanks for the advice - it is appreciated. Its not often i am over 9 pre-meal, when i am working i have the opposite problem, going under 4 around noon. My levels are partly a result of the mis-diagnosis, in the last 2/3 months before injecting i was on max metformin and max glicazide and...

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Yeah thats the trouble - conflicting advice from various professionals. TBH I am happy to continue on current regime as long as HBAC continues to improve. I take my 15 units in morning, and 3 units of Rapid IF i am over 9 pre-meal.

    Statin tablets ?

My DN advised me very recently that i should start taking one Statin tablet per day. My Chloresterol levels have always been good throughout my life, and indeed the most recent one was 3.5. But she said they recommend patients of my age ( 59 ) to take them to lessen risk of stroke/heart attack...

Self isolation for 12 weeks ?????

I am a 59 yr old T1 - I work as a self-employed Courier. Not sure whether to self-isolate or not. I am fit and well apart from the T1, and recently Hermes said we no longer have to get signatures, which obviously reduces possible contact a lot - To be honest i work a very very rural area, lots...
