Everyone is different, and this worked for me. I was injecting the same amount of novirapid didn't matter what I ate as the doctor told me to and ended up on 30 units of novirapid cause it didn't seem to be working and ended up injecting more and more. It was what they called insulin stacking...

Could anyone please provide documentation or proof that T1Ds are allowed to carry food & drink regardless or what rules businesses have?

Any place not allowing and diabetic not have snacks or fluids for medical reasons are breaking the law under disability discrimination. I have had a few conversations with business owners over the years and as soon as I mention that it changes their tune.

    Coffee shops and blood testing

Anything in a toilet should be well and truly avoided. Tables at a cafe get cleaned more often. Cafine spikes some people. Most soaps have glucose in them. I use alcohol wipes that don't spike my readings. Danny

Newly diagnosed - Confused about GI and Carbohydrates

Lower carb intake is where I would start, and for sugars, don't follow the coloured boxes on the front of food products that all about your daily intake, look at the back of the packet or tin for cabs and sugars and go from there. I set myself a target of 15% anymore than that. I just didn't...

    Waiting for 2nd Hbac1 test

I know this is easy to say, but don't worry, it causes stress, and that in itself is bad for your blood sugar levels.. If you have the same number in Jan, then you're still pre-diabetic, which is a good thing. A little change to your diet would hopefully keep you at that level.

Type 1 Why the big difference with these results?

What are you eating before 00.00 which I presume is bedtime, by the looks of it it's either a sugar snack or carbs. The majority of people's blood sugars drop when sleeping the you get a dump of glucose when awakening which is known as dawn phenomenon.
