    Type 1 Tresiba

Yes, diagnosed with it just over 4 years maybe, I can’t quite remember. But I do remember I was taking a little less fiasp and less tresiba. May be due to lack of gym time after work, but with injury and a newborn I can’t get back to it just yet. Thank you for your help.

    Type 1 Tresiba

Hi guys, quick question is 60 units of tresiba a lot? I’ve gone from taking 40 units about 3-4 years ago to this amount, could it be because at the moment for the past year I’ve stopped going to the gym for almost a year due to an ongoing injury etc?

Just woken to feed the baby and my bloods have been brought down to 4.9 with the units taken earlier, still confused as to why it’s taken all that to bring them down ??

    Type 1 Night Blood sugars

No, normally it would be a few units at most, say 2-3 units, but lately, I’d say the last 3-4 weeks I’ve done that amount 3-4 times maybe

    Type 1 Night Blood sugars

Quick update on the correctional injection of 8units…. It took the BS down to 9.8 and now back up to 10.1 and so far just staying at 10.1. So have now added another 10 units to see what happens with that.

    Type 1 Night Blood sugars

I was diagnosed about 4 years ago roughly. I don’t finger prick much anymore, I’m using the Libre 3 sensor, and as for the rise for example, I woke up earlier and it was just a case of a quick rise, not a steady rise, just rising fast, then levels out so to speak, drops a little then rises...

    Type 1 Night Blood sugars

Hi, does anyone have any ideas at why all of a sudden for the past 3 weeks or so my blood sugars are rising at night, even when I don’t eat?? Thanks

    Type 1 Libre 3

Been using it since October last year, ( not on prescription) I’m using it on iOS system and at the moment, there’s only 2 tones to choose, normal text tone or the one that gives you a scare early hours of the morning haha…. But seriously it’s smaller than the L2, and no need to scan as it’s a...

Type 2 Can a kidney infection increase blood sugar levels?

I know, tell me about it, I had to learn to carb count, learn how many units to inject at night of long lasting insulin it was quite scary at first but once you get the hang of it you’ll be ok, plus you have the kind people of this forum to give you some advice also.

Type 2 Can a kidney infection increase blood sugar levels?

Hi, it sounds like me and you have the same team, I was basically told the same myself, but from the small amount of information I was given by the team a year or so ago an from what the good people of this forum have been saying I’d say that any kind of infection can cause blood sugars to rise...

    Type 1 Blood sugars

It would be helpful if my team actually responded to emails or phone calls. But I was told by the consultant and a member of the team just after I was started on insulin about a year or so to make adjustments in every 3rd night so tonight I will try 45 units and see what happens over the course...

    Type 1 Blood sugars

Thank you so much, I think that would explain then why my BS we’re about 4.8 last week when I accidentally put in 47 units instead of 37 maybe?? But again thank you, trying to get hold of the diabetic team is hard work. This helps. Thanks again

    Type 1 Blood sugars

Funny enough the consultant did mention a “honey moon period” when I was first diagnosed, thank you for helping, one question though what is basal rate testing?

    Type 1 Blood sugars

I was diagnosed about 3 and half years ago roughly, It’s only been the last 7 days that my blood sugars have gone above 10 or 11 after eating after dosing for the carbs, I’ve had to add another 8 units to get it drop from 13, messaged the diabetic team with no reply (not that I was expecting...
