    Low carb v keto

There are actually quite a range of foods you can eat even on keto. For example for breakfast sometimes I eat a platter of olives and halloumi and feta. Other days corned beef and eggs. If I have time to cook something more fancy I might make pancakes with almond/coconut flour and eat it with...

I use this list quite often: https://www.menshealth.com/nutrition/g22552078/best-keto-breakfast-ideas/ I eat the breakfast burrito a few times a week. Also in almost all those recipes you can substitute things in to make them more interesting - I like substituting halloumi for some of the...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Yep I like the peanut and fudge one. It's good if you keep an eye on your CGM though before you start downing boxes of them because you might react differently to me - personally my glucose barely moves when I eat one.

    keto trouble

Big +1 for fat bombs. I don't eat them much anymore but used to eat them daily when I first started keto and they smashed my sugar cravings like that! My fave recipe was this one by far: https://realbalanced.com/recipe/fudge-fat-bombs/ Also had a cheesecake one but I can't find the recipe...

    LCHF supplements?

I always add electrolytes to my water - that's probably the main thing. The brand I like is Ultima Replenisher because it's sugar free and actually tastes great. But any low sugar electrolytes should work. Just make sure to check because a lot of electrolyte/sports drinks are always loaded with...

    keto trouble

If you don't mind doing "dirty" keto, eating pre-made keto foods is a good start. And they're generally not too unhealthy if you choose decent enough brands. Edited by moderator to remove content not in line with forum rules

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I've been going crazy on keto snack balls...work has been killing me so I'm grabbing from my drawer every 2 hours. BUT I'm usually tempted to order in and eat something semi-bad for me, so it could be worse!

    Coconut Water

I also love coconut water but had to give it up after going keto. The 6-8g carbs was too much of a hit if trying to stay strict. What I do now is add zero carb electrolytes like Ultima to my water bottle - just as refreshing but keeps the macros right..

    Misfits Vegan Protein Bars

I thought misfits was a little too cardboardy. I was eating Quest bars for a long time, but realised their ingredients weren't perfect either. Nowadays me and the wife are all over N!cks bars! Best we've tried hands down.
