    Ever increasing basal need

I had this a few months ago, I’m on Toujeo though. I went from 22 units per day to 32, my insulin requirement felt insane. I do vary by a few units throughout the month so I just kept going with it…. But it’s now settled down and I’m back to around 25 units. I have no idea what was causing...

    Freestyle libre 2

Thank you, I’ve just rung and sending me a new one. Apparently it’s my first time ringing as I wasn’t registered! I wasn’t aware to keep on to faulty sensor and it’s already in my sharps bin so I don’t have that inconvenience this time! Thank you again for support.

Also have you had any trouble getting replacements? I’ve only done it once and that was easy but wasn’t sure if they can funny if you have a bad run?

    Freestyle libre 2

I’ve taken it out and it looks as exactly as you’ve described. I think the filament hasn’t penetrated through skin which is why it’s not reading. I’ll ring again in morning and continue finger pricking. Technology- great when it works.

    Freestyle Libre 2 needle bent

My new sensor is currently on a the loop you described, says it’s loose. It isn’t. This is replacement one, incredibly bad luck to have two faulty in a row! But being lucky, being using since July and had no issues till the last two.

Alarm going off when it shouldnt

I’m also new to sensors and I’ve been struggling with false lows. Now whenever my alarm goes off I’m checking before adjusting/eating as it’s often wrong. However like you I’ve been trusting the highs!

    ENDLESS ALARM AWAKENINGS

I’ve really struggled with my last two sensors getting incorrect readings. I’m now finger pricking every low alarm as more often than not they are wrong. My graph is doing what yours is, when it’s been incorrect it then shows on graph as higher and more inline with results getting from my meter.
