Type 2 or Lada, really confused, need help!

Hi Muzza3, Thank you so much for your input. I actually started trying intermittant fasting only about 20 days ago. My improved numbers were due to low carb diet. But I just realized that with intermittant fasting, my morning BS are higher than I used to then starts to drop during afternoon to...

Type 2 or Lada, really confused, need help!

Yeah, that's what I'm expecting too. If it was Lada, Hba1c should've been higher. Thanks!

Type 2 or Lada, really confused, need help!

That's what happens to me since the start. I would wake up in the morning, test and find a nice under 5.3. If I skip breakfast or just walk around the block before eating, it jumps to 6.5 immediately!

Type 2 or Lada, really confused, need help!

Hello, I spotted so many people here being experts in Lada and thought this is the right place to share my concerns. Breakdown of my situation: At diagnosis (June 2020): I went for just a check up, I had no symptoms (no thirst, no frequent urination, nothing suspecting any diabetes). Age : 37...

Test results after 1 year of type 2 diagnosis

I was extremely stressed and anxious. And honestly I was not totally fasting (6 hours before the test I had 2 panadols because of fever from the vaccine, and 3 hours before the test I had hot chocolate with unsweetened cocoa powder which should not impact blood sugar!).

Test results after 1 year of type 2 diagnosis

Just forgot to tell that I followed a low carb version of a Mediterranean diet with no meds or insulin! I focused on veggies, few low glycemic fruits, fish, beans, nuts, seeds, healthy fats (olive oil etc.). No junk, no processed, no fried foods at all! Also, a lot of walking and gym 2 times a week.

Test results after 1 year of type 2 diagnosis

Hello everyone, Just wanted to share my experience to everyone, I just came back from the clinic after a full blood and ultrasound check up. I'm 38 years old, normal weight with high visceral fat at diagnosis a year ago. I'm sharing my results in comparison with last year's results: * Hba1c...

High readings during Covid 19 vaccine side effects

Hello everyone, Yesterday I just got the second shot of Moderna vaccine and today I have been experiencing side effects (fever, chills, flu like symptoms, headaches etc.). I could barely wake up from my bed. Usually, my postprandial never exceeds 7.2 but today it went to 8.3 after just a...

Slightly high morning BS on intermittent fasting

Hrllo everyone, This is my second post on this forum. To make a story short, i was diagnosed with T2 diabetes one year ago despite my normal BMI and age (37 years old). But I'm a TOFI (thin outside fat inside) with metabolic disorders at diagnosis (high TG, LDL, B etc.). I was GAD65 negative...

Newly diagnosed and a bit confused

Highly appreciate your input here! For the stress and insomnia, it's totally outside the diet/diabetes issue. I don't call it insomnia though (I still sleep a minimum of 6 hours a day) but 3 in 7 days a week I lack of it. I wake up at least 2 or 3 times at night (just like that!) and it takes...

Newly diagnosed and a bit confused

Thank you so much! Well, no specific foods keep me elevated for longer (sometimes the same meal increases my BS by 10 or 30 points depending on the day). But I have clearly noticed that it happens when I don't sleep well during that day or I'm stressed. It is amazing how stress and lack of...

Newly diagnosed and a bit confused

Yes I feel I'm most likely TOFI. The lady performing ultrasound was shocked about the amount of fat around my organs despite my normal weight. Fatty liver and type 2 diabetes match well.
