    Job interview.

Some very useful information, I felt I had to disclose for insurance purposes. I had to tell my own insurance company when I was diagnosed.

    Job interview.

Possibly on the grounds that you failed to disclose relevant medical information for insurance purposes. Quite apart from that, personally, I want to be completely frank about my condition. This is the first interview I've had where I never got the job and that annoys me. I will however learn...

    Job interview.

I had an interview for a job today, I'm qualified and certified to carry out the work. As soon as I mentioned "diabetes" the interview was essentially over. He'd read in a newspaper recently about a person who had not taken his insulin and was involved in a fatal accident, I tried to explain...

    Urine bright orange

I would say have a word with your HCP, from my experience, urine colour can mean nothing, but, sometimes can mean something very serious, actual colour is relatively meaningless.

    Share Your Progress!

Hi to all. Personally, I eat a consistent diet, same amount of carbs for each meal/snack daily. I still eat Potatoes, bread, pasta. rice and so on, but it's managed. My Hbac1 has been put back six weeks because my BG meter recorded a low average since diagnosis ( three months ago) cholesterol is...

I can`t believe the way some people abuse themselves !!!!

Re: I can`t believe the way some people abuse themselves !!! The NHS in Southampton are nothing short of brilliant, quite literally life savers. If someone chooses to go against medical advice so be it. My son works for a Gov agency and they have another employee that brings his dog to work...

    Type 1 and HRT

OK, I'm T2 on insulin only and Nebido is AFAIK a testosterone replacement therapy by injection. I use a gel daily as testosterone replacement and my BG's are stable. I realize I haven't answered your question, I'm just forwarding my own experience.

    Differences

I have a question, What is the difference between a T1 diabetic using insulin and a T2 using insulin? In fact as I'm typing this, I begin to realize it cannot be a new question. Maybe I just want other peoples input.

    chemotherapy

Hi, I think your girlfriend is having the R-CHOP regimen, it's what I went through pretty much two years ago. My hair started to come out around two weeks after the first cycle. My condition was "diffuse large B cell lymphoma" . The treatment is very effective, sadly the drawback is hair loss. I...

    Another new member.

That's interesting to know, thanks. I'm not that bothered with the injections as during the treatment for lymphoma I sort of got used to them, oddly two years ago I had an awful phobia about needles.
