    Anyone else on toujeo insulin?

    Hi tara, I've been on Lantus for over 10 years now, Diabetic nurse has agreed for me to go onto Toujeo and try that as blood levels arent good, but it's not listed at my Gp for them.to prescribe it! So I'm still waiting. So hoping I get to try it soon.

    I generally get sent the results, I have background retinopathy now, from my bad control when I was a teenager. So really need to get better at it. I do well for a while then give up.

    Haha, a sugar drip would be awesome B-) Nope I only had the half can of lucozade, just had the rest and a bar of choc. I'm not the best for doing stuff how I should, I'm terrible tbh. Trying to sleep as I work nights, so effort for proper food etc isn't always there.

    I've been slowly upping my long acting over the last few weeks, 15 units a day did nothing while I was on holiday last week, but 16 I'm taking now, has left me around 4 all last night when I was back at work. I've used Lantus for ten years now am pretty sure it no longer works for me. I'm 4.8...

    Insulin Pumps, yes or no?

    Would love a pump, have no control using injections, I'm getting changed onto toujeo in a few weeks to see if that makes any difference to bloods. I'm not sure of the criteria to meet to get a pump, but it is something that is always talked about in my appointments.

    This has happened to me a few times on Lantus, but my team have told me Lantus wouldn't cause the low and it was my carb counting that was wrong! It's not happened for a while thou.

    Never mentioned metformin. I used to split Lantus but kept missing the evening one. Yeah I know guidelines and that are different for different areas, im in Surrey, it comes under Surrey and West Sussex NHS, something like that anyway. Where bouts are you?
