Any experience of MyDesmond online alternative to face-to-face session?

Thank you for your reply. I've recently struggled with fatigue and messaged the expert. But, I was last told by the expert to get in touch with my "Healthcare Team". Well, I thought they were the healthcare team. I'm going to phone the doctors on Monday. Thanks again.

    Mental and physical paradox

Thank you. Your reply is very helpful. I'm not any medication. My BG levels are relatively low.

    Mental and physical paradox

Some days I've been mentally alert but feel physically unfit, then other days I've felt fatigued but physically I'm fit. It's not the first time I've known this, but it feels unusual somehow, or maybe I'm conscious of it since my diagnosis. For example, last week I was struggling physically at...

Which is best? Fewer Calories or fewer Carbss

Oh I should have mentioned I test my BG, which I'm managing and keeping within 'recommened range' - give or take the experimental treat. It's now my calorie intake I want to control and reduce my weight, maybe another 10 lbs.

Which is best? Fewer Calories or fewer Carbss

I've been monitoring my diet using the fitness Pal app. I was proud to loose 10lb over 4 weeks. However, this has lead to me feeling worse. Someone suggested kito flu. So this week I've gone with my gut feeling (excuse the pun) and I eat if I feel hungry. However, I've doubled my total calories...

    Hi there everyone

It's really confusing and overwhelming. I was diagnosed T2 about 6 weeks ago. I've made immediate changes to my diet, roughly halved my carb intake and lost a good 10lb in weight. However, it has made me feel ill, and now possibly have what is known as 'keto flu.' - as I found out thanks to this...

Can things start to feel worse before they get better?

Will do certainly. Drinking water has never been my forte... Ive missed my Sunday night pint and a packet salted peanuts too :)

Can things start to feel worse before they get better?

I was fed up of being so tired. The irony.

Can things start to feel worse before they get better?

@Grant_Vicat that's reassuring, thank you. I was starting to think I was doing something wrong. I'll take it as a sign I'm doing something right. "Flu" is probably not a bad description of it - though I've never had flu before. Just done a quick look up on keto flu and matches my symptoms.

Can things start to feel worse before they get better?

Can things start to feel worse before it gets better? Why am I feeling I'm more tired than ever? My diagnosis was 6 weeks ago and i took immediate action. Though I've felt more tired over the last few weeks. I'm following advice, including a low-carb diet. Not drasticly but no more buscuits...

    No Energy And Dizziness

I was diagnosed at beginning of December and like yourself I went on a low-carb diet. I test my BG regularly and the levels have been fine. I've had one or two hypo and Hypers weekly due to the odd treat or skipped meal/snack, but nothing drastic (I'm one of the more lucky ones in terms of my...

From 10.2 to 4.5 in 60 minutes after a walk. I just want to know if this is usual.

I made one this morning and wrapped it around tuna and mayo and had it for lunch. Delicious and really easy to make. Winner!

Thank you. I'm completely new to this I'm afraid and I haven't got anything/anyone to reference my results to. I really don't know how relative my levels or experience are to others. I'm aware I'm not in a bad place, especially as I can control mine on diet only. I'm learning but still have...

Ironic. I tried omlette muffin for my morning snack. That sounds more interesting.

Low and behold I had another spike today, following two tortilla wraps with tuna. Tortilla wraps off the menu it is then.

I have two tortilla wraps at work everyday. I'm a teacher and almost always on my feet, so walking it off. I'll be keeping an eye on it. Might not always be able to walk it off though, or check my BG at the same time. That makes senses. Nevertheless, I appreciate you taking your time to respond.

No NHS support for prediabetics who are not overweight

I was diagnosed type 2 at the beginning of December and told then that I was prediabetic in 2015. I don't remember being told I was prediabetic although it was a phone call and my hearing isn't great. I have a healthy lifestyle but have a higher BMI than it should be, but wouldn't see myself as...

I'm new to T2 and have been testing my BG levels for only shy of two weeks. I've gone straight onto a low-carb diet and extra exercise the diet is going really well and the running I'm building up. I'm still getting used to my readings, but they've been relatively stable and only gone outside...

Joe Wick's Lean in 15 minutes books

A neighbour let us (my wife and I) borrow a Joe Wick's Lean in 15 minutes book. Have to say we have been super impressed and bought the collection. Most recipes serve one but a serving is ample between both of us, give or take a few more veg. The recipes are euick to prepare and cook. It a...
