Anyone else get sick the closer you get to 6.0?

Thanks. I will keep doing more research. Summer break has messed up my system. Once school starts and I follow a schedule hopefully it will be better.

Anyone else get sick the closer you get to 6.0?

I was diagnosed earlier this year with type 2 and I take metoforin (.5 g TID) and trulicity once a week. I have lost over 10 kg. My levels can be as high as 12 but usually hold at about 8. I do get down to 6 but below 8 I get dizzy and by the time I get to anywhere in the 6s, I start to fall...

    Reactions to trulicity

I have been blaming the metformin but maybe it is the Trulicity (I am on my 4th dose).... all I know is since my diagnosis a month ago I have lost 7 kg and I don't want to eat (I, never!, don't want to eat... I once had a raging fever and my coworkers at school joked I wasn't sick enough to go...

    Reactions to trulicity

This will sound stupid but it really worked... chicken broth. Drink chicken broth...you know the cubes ( or the stock crystals) toss them in hot water and drink the soup. I don't know if it is the warmth, or the salt, or the protein but it helps. I keep it in an insulated cup to keep it hot...

Not sure this is worth it

It has been a month and three days since my diagnosis. I am already tired of this ****. If my legs aren't cramping; the neurological damage in my feet and legs is torturing me ( This is my second go round with damaged nerves as I shattered a glass in my hand when I fell in college 30 years...

Carbohydrate amounts - a bit unsure what's going on

I am so frustrated with my levels. Even tomatoes and other fruit kick my darn sugar up. I can't get to six. The best I have done is a 7.4 and I starved myself to get it. I have dropped 22 kg since covid and I was BSL 26 t the start of the month. My friend with type 1 says I should stop...

    Back on the horse...

Years back I was given a toxic level of a medicine for 6 months by an incompetent idiot doctor. I switched doctors spent a year in therapy to learn how to get my life back but like you I had kidney damage amount other issues . A year later the kidneys were okay as was the muscle damage. Only...

Carbohydrate amounts - a bit unsure what's going on

As you lose weight you may find you can eat a balanced diet but I'd keep to healthier carbs and beware junk food. Congratulations on the weight loss.

    Stalled at 8

The doctor seems to wonder if it will clear any and I think the left eye doctor has cleared but there are still 5 of everything. No improvement on the left maybe worse. I am just kind of drowning in issues without much support or good ideas about what's next.

    Stalled at 8

My college roommate was diabetic and I spent years with too high, too low, emergency room visits, and the dreaded calls to her parents the last one " your child is in a coma come quickly" . I don't know if I am quite up to it being me. My teaching partner for the last 9 years is diabetic and...

I start TRULICITY in a couple of days.

I have had three doses and the Metformin is making me sicker. Nothing I'd blame on the trulicity.

    Stalled at 8

Hi I was diagnosed at the start of the month at bs level 25 and put on Metformin 500 3 times a day and trulicity once a week. I was dropping regularly but now am stuck between 8 and 10. I have cataracts and am going blind. The left eye is cloudy and the right eye sees five of things . Very...

Changing from Metformin to slow release

It is fact that different companies' meds can work different. While working with special needs students we had trouble when a child taking seizure meds experienced this. When we spoke with doctors and pharmacists they confirmed that this was our issue. We had to get medical documents...

    Coping with feelings of shame

I was diagnosed about 10 days ago and I can understand how you can feel bad. I have high blood pressure too and since covid it has been out of control like death walking out if control and I finally got a new doctor and three days later my bp is normal and I have permission to exercise. I was...
