    Newly diagnosed but changing lifestyle

This is so sad. I have a colleague whose husband just got his blood results back. She said the doctor told them everything is fine. Her husband's fasting glucose was 7 so they already didn't do the OGTT because it was too high for that. But the doc said it is fine because his FG is around 7 for...

Metformin side effect after 2 months

Thank you, it seems working :) It was my fault, I started skipping dinner and took the pill without food. I think that caused the problem. Now I take it with my lunch, no symptoms yet.

    BGL increasing after activity

I experienced this too. After 30 mins high intensity exercise my bg raised by 1,5, but after 30 min of resting I tested again, it was lower than before I started the exercise. I researched this and found it is normal.

Metformin side effect after 2 months

She said if I need more medication she could give them if I take metformin. My paper says she wants to give GLP 1 analog if my Hba1c won't be under 7% by end of April. I'm doing a low-carb diet, and I think I'm doing well. My bc meter says my 7 and 14-day average is 5,1, 30day is 5,3 60days is...

Metformin side effect after 2 months

Hello everyone, Has anybody experienced that, taking metformin was ok for two months but after that, the side effect /diarrhea / kicked in? About 3 years ago I was told I probably have PCOS, and I must take 2 weeks 750mg then 1500mg metformin. After I started to take 1500 I couldn't tolerate...

    Low BG on low carb

I experienced those false hypo symptoms too. My body was used to bgl 7-8 and when it dropped below 5 I got shivers, sleepiness... But 4.7 is far from hypo. Now my bgl is around 5, 4.6 - 5.8 and I feel great no more hypo symptoms.

    Bloods are so high! Why???

Stress is really bad for blood glucose. My morning blood levels just started to go down when a very stressful audit came to my job. It went up again and I couldn't do anything. It took a week to go down.

    Shocked Newbie

No, I live in Hungary. I went to find out if I have PCOS and that bloodwork included an insulin intolerance test, with 3point glucose tolerance and insulin. And a HOMA index which was 5,58 (it measures insulin intolerance, it is good under 2). But sadly they didn't check hba1c. My doctor said...

Yes, you are probably right. I won't lie to her if she asks what I'm doing. Technically she didn't recommend any diet to me, only the medication and exercise. But yes, I didn't go to the dietitian...
