I found that my levels rise for some exercises and fall for others.
It depends on a few things for me
- stop-start exercise/activities will cause my levels to rise
- anything "uncomfortable" will cause my levels to rise
- anything I am "unfit" at will cause my levels to rise
For lowering levels (or not making any difference)
- continuous exercise for at least 20 minutes
- if outside, do it on a pleasant day - not wet, cold and windy and not hot and sweaty
- persevere. Running used to make my levels rise but as my body got more used to it, the impact on my blood sugars changed.
We are all different but my recommendation would be to keep at the activities, especially if you have only just started.
