    Finally Got Approved for Mounjaro!!

Quick update since I have been on the 5ml dose for a few weeks now. My fasting sugar is down to the mid 160s so making some progress there. Unfortunately I am only 13 lbs down over almost 2 months which I feel like is slow. I am feeling more normal now but the appetite suppression seems to...

    Mounjaro, Insulin & Weight Loss

I started on Mounjaro 4 weeks ago on the 2.5ml dose. I'm down 8 lbs since I started. Hoping for faster results when I start the 5ml dose next week.

    Toenail care for diabetic feet

I have tried the over the counter toenail fungus treatments but didn't have much success. Was hoping there was something I could try at home vs. having to go to a specialist $$$$.

    Toenail care for diabetic feet

Hey folks, one thing I have been struggling with and am self conscious about are my toenails. Over the past 5 years they have gotten very thick and yellowed. Anyone have this side effect and have any tips for making these less obvious? I am hesitant to just start filing them more than a little...

    Finally Got Approved for Mounjaro!!

Ok folks time for an update. I am slowly getting more used to the drug a little less nausea and feeling kinda "ick" with it and I feel like I can eat a bit more (maybe not a good thing). My fasting sugar was 171 this morning down from 185-190 before starting and I'm down 7 lbs so that's...

    Finally Got Approved for Mounjaro!!

I took my first shot Monday and I didn't notice anything much until Tuesday. I definitely feel a bit nauseous and seem to feel full really quick. Like where I can't eat but maybe half of what I could before (and still be hungry). The shot itself was a bit painful but I read to let it warm up...

    Mounjaro changed my thinking

I just got approved to have Mounjaro covered by my insurance and can't wait to get started. I have been T2 for about 7 years started with an A1c near 10.5 but can't seem to get it below 8.3 with Metformin. Past few years I also have the tingly feet so I am excited to hopefully help with that...

    Finally Got Approved for Mounjaro!!

Hello folks I know it's been awhile so I figured I check back in with an update. I have been in a bit of a slump with my mom having some health issues from her diabetes and having to help her out. Its been stressful and I have not done super well with working on my A1c which has been...

    Any Experiences with Mounjaro?

Oh wow I'm so jealous. I might have to start saving up if my insurance won't cover. Glad to hear it actually works!

    Any Experiences with Mounjaro?

Thanks for all the responses everyone. I have really been struggling with my weight and eating "right" my entire life. I have a few health issues aside from diabetes that have gotten worse so I need something to tip me in the right direction. Fingers crossed my insurance will cover it and I...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Latest reading this morning was a disappointing 10.4. I have been slacking off on the exercise with the cold weather here but hoping to get the motivation to get back on track.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hey folks still struggling a bit here with a 10.1 this morning. Could be worse but wish it was better  I have been trying to keep up with at least 5000 steps a day but I have slacked off a bit since my legs are extra swollen from the cold weather.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Well amazingly I was down to 171 (9.5) despite not eating the healthiest the past week. I have been doing everything I can to get 5000 steps in a day so maybe that and the water aerobics is helping. Now if only the number on the scale would start to drop. Either way I'm happy with...

    Insulin resistance and skin tags

OMG I hate those things. I have skin tags on my neck and they are SOOO annoying. I thought they were hereditary but I guess maybe tied to diabetes from what I am reading here. I also have the dark skin patches around my neck and armpits but I already knew that was tied to diabetes.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Yes my doc has been on me to get more excercise and lose weight. Guess I have something to try now! Sadly I have some bad habits that are hard to break. :-(

    Lymphedema and Diabetes

Thanks Ken. I am hoping you are correct that lowering my sugar will help with the swelling. It can be quite uncomfortable at times. Thankfully I only have swelling in my legs and to a lesser degree my arms. I do hate the diuretics that seem to make me pee every 30 minutes. Thanks again for...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Not great news here. Latest reading was 10.3 so have some work to do. I have been trying to eat low(er) carb but with Thanksgiving (US) and now Christmas it's a bad time for eating better. I have started attending a water aerobics group so hopefully that will help out (and get me...

    Lymphedema and Diabetes

Hopefully this is the right section for this question but here it goes. Does anybody here have lymphedema and diabetes? I have had had swelling issues in my legs since my late 20s which have gotten worse over time. I was wondering if there was a connection with diabetes and if anybody had any...

    Weight is a strange thing

I know my weight can change wildly within the same day. Sometimes like 5-7 lbs. Not sure it's my scale but I do retain water in my legs so maybe that affects it. Still weighing everyday isn't really meaningful.

10.2 this morning and down 6 lbs total. Small victories I guess!
