So as the pen didn’t come with needles and the Gp didn’t prescribe any I had to buy a box from the pharmacy and they only had 5mm ones. I’ve noticed that most people use 4mm .. before I start does anyone use 5mm ones is there a big difference in terms of how much it hurts etc

Yes gave me the option but as rybelsus has done little I’ve decided to change and give it a go

Well started the 7mg dose on Sat and I’ve already dropped 5lb this week and haven’t really changed diet that much - no side effects touch wood

So a week in at 3mg and no side effects and no weight loss which was expected as it’s a starting low dose, however I have noticed my clothes are looser and my tummy seems smaller, anyone experienced this

Thanks, have you done ok on them so far .. I’d prefer tablets than injections anyway if they work as well. My bmi is 37.2 just don’t know why they create so many hoops to jump through

I’m tearing my hair out with my surgery, after a lot of pushing the Gp asked the diabetes team if it was ok to prescribe semaglutide which they said yes to they said there was no chance of osemphic injections as there’s no supply mounjaro wasn’t even mentioned. So the Gp said she’d be happy to...

They told me it wasn’t available (the injections) but I could have semaglutide tablets which are available

How do you get your Gp to prescribe this mines saying she’s got to write to the diabetes team as she can’t prescribe it directly?

Thanks I think cutting out all the sweet stuff I used to eat (was a lot to be fair) made a huge difference

I take metformin three times a day and take buscopan just after this helps with the cramps .. after a few weeks it was ok anyway. All I did was cut out all sugar no cakes no chocolate and etc because my number was very high in July (it was 126) they gave me a libre monitor this was brilliant...

Just had my test result was 126 in July latest one 52 well pleased

Average for the last 30 days is 5.9 but it’s always lower in morning when I wake

So last couple of days I’ve woken up with quite bad nausea - reading on the libre is 4.5 - 4.9 could the drop overnight cause this (I’ve read that hypo symptoms only kick in under 4) I’m on 2 x 500 mg of metformin twice a day
