    Unfortunately if your HBA1c is good it normally means no pump. That said it also depends on the funding available in your local area, you mentioned you don't see a diabetic consultant, it is worth seeing to see if it is something they maybe able to put you onto a waiting list for.     Thanks Marie, books are good!! I think I probably need to get a more detailed map of which areas I can use it on, as in the whole area I could use on my abdomen without it causing an issue.

    thanks! I did look at the tubing system but thought i prefer the tubeless one, maybe I just need to accept what is on offer and get on with it, but thought I would raise the concerns in case there was something else out there!
