    Worried -Possible anemia or worse!

Hi, 3 of4 results are back. Blood count is normal. A prescription for Ferrous Fumarate 305mg, 1 tablet 2 times a day, just arrived at my door so I'm assuming I'm anaemic . I have to make an appointment to see my GP regarding my B12 test results. There are no appointments available for several...

Hi everyone, thank you for the information. I had to wait until this past Tuesday to get my blood drawn. The nurse said they would do 4 tests: B12, Anaemia, blood count and I forget what the 4th test is for. She said the results should be back in 2-3 days so will be calling to check tomorrow...

    Worried -Possible anemia or worse!

I generally eat a gluten free diet that helps with my fibromyalgia, very little bread, pasta and red meat . I eat lots of veg, drink mainly water and have the odd cup of tea. I've been on 4 medications for 9-10 years. Metformin 50mg (1 twice a day), Levothyroxine(125micrograms a day), Tramadol...

Told I don't have to test my sugar levels

Hi everyone, :D Thanks again for your advice. I ordered a meter which should be here monday. What is considered to be too high or too low as far as blood sugar levels go? I'm pretty sure I'll have more questions once I've got the meter. Thank you,

Help Food tastes bad whenever I eat

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone elses sence of taste changed with having diabetes. To me food either has no taste, tastes overly salty/sweet or it just tastes nasty when there isn't anything wrong with it. Nothing tastes right anymore only veg and muller rice. My food intake is...

    Popcorn kernels

Hi, :D I got my popping corn and a popper. I had to go to Holland and Barrets for the popcorn, Tesco metro doesn't stoke it. I got a good bargain on the popper, it was £20 marked down to £9.99. I got the last one from Comet.

    Popcorn kernels

Hi, thanks for the recomendation on where to look in Tesco. I had asked in my local ASDA but was told all they sell is microwavable or already popped popcorn, which doesn't help when you want to make your own healthier version using plain unpopped kernals. Oh well the search continues. :D...

    just diagnosed type 2

Thanks Karen, I will talk to my GP at my next appointment about the physio. I tried having a gym membership. The cross trainer made it worse and eventually climbing all the stairs just to get to the gym made it impossible. So I had to pay for a years membership that I couldn't use. Luckily I...

    just diagnosed type 2

Hi, :) Thank you for your advice and suggestions. Unfortunatly I can't use a rowing machine due to my foot being frozen in place, which restricts the ability of the muscles in my ankle to flex normally.
