    Rant!!

    Just a quick rant! Why is it that when I finally decided to sort myself out with my diabetes control, I gained weight!! I know that now my blood sugars are good I have put on more weight.     Different settings, i.e work days and days off, etc

    I work random shifts so I can't have set patterns. However, my diabetes team suggested I try reducing my basal temporarily whilst at work. I do a temporary basal of 50% and keep an eye on my blood sugars. That works for me. But obviously keep testing as much as you can and you'll find what works...

My doctors surgery will only prescribe me 100 strips a month, yet I'm on an insulin pump which requires me to test a minimum of 5 times a day and also the dvla requiring me to test each...
