    Bruised toenail

I've got a black mark under my big toenail it's been there for month, yesterday it seemed to get bigger and more red and looked as if it was bleeding, then this morning it has gone back to the size it's always been, not sure what to do as it seems trivial to go to the Dr's about, it doesn't hurt...

    Weight Gain Taking Victoza Injections?

The dietician at the diabetic clinic at the hospital told me not to eat to many carbs, to limit the rice bread and potatoes and pasta, to start the day with protein such as egg and grilled bacon with tomatoes, if I want to loose weight. As a T2 it is old hat that you need loads of carbs, it has...

    awareness ribbons and pins

I have seen on a few sites that there are awareness ribbons and pins, but they all seem to be from the USA, and here there are only badges which are good for kids and teenagers but the more mature folk I know are saying 'it would be nice if we could have something like that here in the UK', I...

If you don't like the way you are treated at your diabetic clinic do what I did, ask your doctor to change it, it is your right to change and do some research before you do, look at what you want and what hospital is offering you that facility, ring their Beta team and ask them if they would be...

I am designing new diabetic devices! Please reply, thank you

Even that I'm way over you criteria (55 years) I like the idea of an all in one monitor, sticking your finger in a hole and it does everything sounds like a great idea. I hate the fiddly way of putting a strip in a metre and then having to find the blasted finger pricker that always seems to...

    Where to buy test strips?

Why are you buying test strips? they are free on prescription if you are in the UK. as all medication should be free to Diabetics, there is a form you fill in at your Dr's then you should receive an exemption card for all your medication no matter what it is for.

    News Topic on Diabetes.

This is interesting as I did not have Diabetes until I had some work done on my Large intestines and an Umbilical hernia repaired. Couldn't say if it is a side effect of the op: or it just coinsidently happened.
