cold = epic low carb fail

Yes. The enjoyment of eating is affected when we have a cold, because our sense of smell and taste is virtually non existent, so our brain tells our body it needs food........well it's one theory ;) but it makes sense to me. Don't beat yourself up, sure you'll get it sorted soon :)

    What is it with jeans?

:) This Grannie wears jeans too, from M&S, men's usually because they fit me better, lol. I don't know what's happened to standard sizes these days. A size 12, 14 etc used to be the same wherever you shopped, now it's a suck it and see thing....ummmm , you know what I mean! :meh:

    Coconut oil

@mistyweather :) Sorry, have been busy today so just got here! Jane has already pointed you in the right direction....I know unrefined organic is a LOT more expensive, £6 per 293ml for Groovy Food Company which is stocked in Tesco but it's the real stuff. Refined coconut oil has been bleached...

Am I unusual to be confused.....

@Pollylocks You're not alone in your confusion and disillusionment, many here feel the same. I was diagnosed T2 twenty three years ago. Got dealt all the usual **** about eating plenty of carbs at every meal etc. Low GI, high fibre, blah blah. Consequently, as a result of poor control I have...

:) :) @Indy51 and @Mazzer  ;) @busspassman. Hello, I see from your profile you're T2 on diet only. Maybe cornflakes are not a good idea. They contain a lot of carbohydrate which in any form will cause your blood glucose level to spike. For a start, how about swapping to the old...
