I’ve split my lantus. Used to take 26u at 10pm, now im taking 11u at 10pm and 15u at 10am. It seems to be working okay so far, if it starts going wrong then i’ll try doing my lantus in the morning instead of before bed.

Normally around 3 hours before bed, i normally go to bed between 10.30 and 11.30

I got these in my local chemist. They're not very pretty looking but great for protecting the sensor and if you position it right then you get no adhesive on the actual sensor making it easier to take off and replace when needed.

A bit late to this thread but... How long before activating the sensor would you recommend actually putting it on your arm to allow the damage round the insertion site to repair? Ive been getting readings lower than my meter shows

Started to split my lantus dose last night and my blood sugars have been all over the place today. Is this normal? I normally take 24 units so i took 12 at 10pm last night and 12 at 10am this morning. If this is normal how long should i give it to settle down? Thanks!

Yes! I've had a few jam up on me! When injecting i push a couple of units and then pull my finger/thumb of the dial completely for a second and do the whole does like that. I havent had any problems since ive started doing it like that

I started using a libre on friday, havent found it accurate at all. My readings have ranged from 1-3mmols higher than what my normal meter says. Love being able to see what goes on overnight though. I think i'll do some testing and rethink all my ratios. Thanks for everyones help!

Hi! You could be right about the weather, i may start to go back to normal now its cooled down a bit (hopefully). I dont have a 1/2 unit pen but im going to ask for one at my endo appointment next week

Last time i injected was at 1.30pm so i dont think there was any active insulin left in me. I weigh my food out religiously so i dont think i miscalculated the carbs. I usually treat a low with a small carton of orange juice that has 15.2g carbs in it and normally i go from the 3's to the 6's...
