Hi all,
I will post an introduction separately but in short, long time reader, new poster, parent of a recently diagnosed 10 year old T1D (January 25).
We have our onboarding with Omnipod tomorrow which my lad, Theo, who is really excited about it. He manages his diabetes quite well but not having to inject will be a blessing.
His one main worry is sports, he is into everything but specifically rugby. I know there is one or two T1D rugby players on here. How do you prepare, protect pod or any other information for training and games? He is firmly in the “loves to tackle” camp. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to engaging in the community moving forward. Thanks all.
