Dropped my little by of this morning, he was ok until we went to leave, he was crying and everything, had to be prised off school phoned later and said he was ok now, but still not nice...
It's not nice, I've had 4 kids, and only the last didn't want to go, the 3 girls were ok, but my son was a real ******. Mind you he's now 23 now and lovely.
You do feel worse than the kids and to be honest you will remember, he won't.
When my daughter started school, it was me who had tears in my eyes and a huge lump in my throat, aaaahhhhhhhhhh. She is at Secondary now and I am not allowed near the school I know how you are feeling, its hard isn't it? and they grow up so quickly RRB
Then they get married and come back again!!!
My 27yr old daughter does - mum/dad I need,want,can I have/borrow (never see it again!)
Still remember "bawling" my eyes out on her 1st day at primary school, promising myself and her daddy
I would cherish everytime spent with her...
Now we cant get a moments peace!
Anna.
Ahhhh bless you both . I cried on both mine going, ds1(now 17) screamed going in , ds2(now 15) ran in without a glance. Its so hard to walk away let alone when they are crying.
As a childminder I have had to take children (prise them) off their parents crying and its so hard telling parents (who start crying) that little one who is crying will be fine. But they do settle quickly (usually a cuddle helps) and after a while a quick phone call for parents to hear no more crying soon reassures them.
Aw, remember these days so well. Even though we're talking nearly 20 yrs ago.
my daughter was like that for the first week of every new school year until year 3. Heartbreaking, I used to get sent to the staffroom and told to peak in the window 5 mins later and she was busy playing without a care.
Kids !
But enjoy it lol
My mum told me my brother went to school for the first time (we're now talking about 1964) came home and said 'school was good but I wont bother again' Priceless
