Yes is really does sound counter intuitive, but then so did "eat as much veg as you like" for Slimming World, and I managed to loose weight on that, so maybe I could do it on this Hi Fat/Low Carb thing - I'm just concerned that I might not loose as much as quickly and I'm so big that I want to loose a lot as fast as possible... and keep it off of course. I do know that crash diets have you just gaining it all back again, so I mean as fast as is possible without gaining it all again afterwards... not that you stop eating the 'diet plan' once you've lost weight.
Hi @FranOnTheEdge,
I wonder if you have considered joining the LowCarb Programme, a 10 week course where everything is explained in great detail and you can ask any questions that you have.

It does come with a word of caution. 'eat as much fat as you like' works, if it fills you up quickly.
If, like me, you could eat an entire pig worth's of scratchings between meals, or a bucket full of olives, or a block of cheese that would feed a family for a week, rather than a bag of crisps as a snack between meals, it seems not to work quite so well at losing weight.
I've lost a lot of weight, but only by never stopping counting the calories.
No. I never have a plan, it takes me all day to get to the point where I know what I'll be having for dinner, just on that day, and that's usually about 10 minutes before I get to eat it. If I could think of enough things to make, to be able to actually have things to put into a plan I'd be much happier, and less stressed. But at least I managed to make something today that I can freeze a few portions of - for other days - crippled my back doing it, but at least I can relax a bit now.@FranOnTheEdge Do you have a plan for dinner today?
Had a little look at that, Avocado Sevenfold, interesting place - loved the look of the rainbow cake, lovely bright colours.@FranOnTheEdge That looks delicious. Every time I see a recipe I fancy trying, I put it in a folder. I have gone from wondering what to eat to being spoiled for choice!
Every morning tea break at work I have a look at the Foodgawker website for inspiration.
Oops! I forgot to warn you it is not a low carb site! But it is good for ideas. Next to the rainbow cake there is a quiche. Would be a nice recipe if you can eat sweet potatoes - or maybe sub them for celeriac. Yes, I figured it wasn't Low Carb from the pictures, Lol! I'm getting my head around what has high carbs and what doesn't - more or less.Oops! I forgot to warn you it is not a low carb site! Just seen this @FranOnTheEdge and will tag @Administrator to see if he can solve this hiccup.I'll look into it, thanks Catherine.
Seems I can't do that Catherine, Nothing happens when I try filling in the fields - it just keeps on asking me to fill it in.
It's already sorted, but thanks anyway.Just seen this @FranOnTheEdge and will tag @Administrator to see if he can solve this hiccup.
Having once had 'gravy' made with whized up cauliflower which turned out to be more like wallpaper paste - and that made by my daughter who is a very good cook, well I just find I can't face anything made with whized up cauliflower now. I think it was that it just looked like a rather solid gel which put me off so. How old is that 'old recipe'? I've not been doing Slimming World for long. But thanks for thinking of me.@FranOnTheEdge I have not had sweet potatoes since diagnosis. The word potato puts me off lol, but have seen people here enjoy them.
Do you remember this old slimming world recipe? People went mad for it. https://www.minimins.com/threads/creamy-curry-super-speedy.256137/
