Just thought I’d give an update on here , partly for myself to share how far we have come and partly to anybody who’s child has just been diagnosed and thinks they’re at rock bottom like I did when I just found out!

People use to say you will be blown away how brave and how brilliantly they take to the new situation they find themselves In (AND THEY WAS RIGHT)

I still have my days where I get upset but only once in the last 6 months and that’s partly because my little now 10yr old has coped with it and taken it in her stride and shocked me with how well she knows her body with hypos etc.

So to the new parents who have just found out, take it from me you will be fine and you will get through it ( as difficult as that may seem)

To my little girl , I’m so proud of you

Love dad x
