2023/24 Football Season.

Another weekend of footy is upon us. Tonight I am a Leeds fan cos they play Rotherham and we need them to beat Rotherham otherwise it closes the gap to just 1 point and that would really put the pressure on us. We have a Home tie to Southampton tomorrow which I really cannot see us getting anything from as they are playing really well in 4th place having won 4 of their last 5 games.
Good luck to all our teams playing this weekend. Hope they win. Wrap up well if you intend to go to a game cos it's going to be a flipping chilly weekend.
 
It's rather chilly now mate! Even chillier than your away end, having been there a few times, especially the coup!e of boxing day fixtures we had there a few years ago.
Gills at home, hoping for win, but have my doubts cos of injury to our striker again. And we need those around us to get beat.

Ooops Leeds failed to get a winner and it ends 1-1. Put's Rotherham 3 points behind us. Now it's getting scary. This time on Tuesday night we could find ourselves in the Relegation zone especially if we Lose tomorrow and Rotherham beat Hull on Tuesday. Best we can hope for is a draw tomorrow. Watch this space.

We won by three nil, really positive performance, couldn't believe what I was seeing!
Gives us a two point cushion on FGR, they drew away, as did sutton, so it does seem we are still gonna have to get a lot more points away. However next away is Mansfield Tuesday. Yikes!

Former England manager Terry Venables has died at the age of 80 after a long illness.

Venables managed England from 1994 to 1996, most notably leading them to the semi-finals of Euro 96 on home soil.
A former England player, he also managed Barcelona and Tottenham

Ending the weekend on a Sad note. RIP Terry. He was a true Legend.
 
I remember, el Tel, paid a visit with Gazza and co to Prenton park, think early 90's.
However, he was introduced to me amongst others at PP, when we played spurs in the cup about five years ago.I
A legend as you say mate!

have very good memories of Mansfield, Field Mill.
it was actually my first game as a representative of my club.
And one of the players was a close family friend. Good player.
I think he became a youth coach.
think I've been there three or four times. Nice car park. And better food than our ground.

2 all not so bad.
 
What a Result. Our prayers have been answered. Hull did us proud by thrashing Rotherham 4-1. That keeps the gap at 4 points but oh my giddy aunt QPR beat Stoke 4-2 and now they are closing the gap on us with just 3 points behind us. We gotta try and claw something from Sunderland tomorrow night otherwise it all hinges on Saturday's games. QPR play on Friday night so we gotta hope they lose that one.
 
Well that's a nice sight to come home from work and find the score is 1-1 approaching half time. We were first to score. If it finishes like that then It will be a valuable point against tough opposition.
