2023/24 Football Season.

Oh yesssss what a result. We actually WON.. Oh man that is a valuable 3 points and now the gap is 6 points between us and QPR and 7 points between us and Rotherscum. Trip to Wales on Saturday to face the Swans. Hopefully tonight has given the lads confidence. Victory is sweet.
 
Oh Crumbs QPR have won 2-0. That's really put the cat among the pigeons. Now they are just 3 points behind us. It's a damned good job we won on Weds night. We need to pull off another win at Swansea tomorrow afternoon.
 
Probably no surprise to write.... it's snowing and games dropping left right and center.
United should have been away to Morton...

No snow here but plenty ice. Snow forecast here tomorrow afternoon. Keep safe and warm up there mate.
 
Ok lets do this. Lets get them Swans stuffed like we stuffed the Mackems. We need those 3 points desperately. Good luck to the teams playing today. Wrap up warm if you are going to a game.
 
No game for us and a lot of fixtures effected.
If we had been at home, it would have been off, no undersoil heating. And frost covers are no good at below -5.
It was -7 - -9 degrees last night. Also the temperature hasn't got above freezing for three days, four nights. Which means it is a deeper frost than we have had for quite a while.

Not fun watching footie in arctic conditions, especially when the stands are half empty! Isn't that right John?

Yeah mate it's right lol. Our supporters will be ok down in South Wales. They may have problems travelling home after the match as snow is forecast up here around 6pm onwards.
 
Arggghhh the buggers equalised. Oh that's a sickener. We did so well and they had to go spoil it by equalising in the 4th min of stoppages. Oh well better luck at home to Bristol City next Saturday. 4 point gap now.

When I saw the first one go in I thought it was going to be one of those nights...

and it was.

It's a bit rich the Dutch were saying Scotland would not turn up and yet the Belgians......
 
England weren't the champions thanks to Holland winning 4.0 not sure how that tournament works. But in all fairness our ladies have done well.
 
Home to Bristol City tomorrow afternoon. Always been a bogey team to us. Need to overcome that and bring all 3 points back up the M5. QPR face Hull and the way QPR are playing atm we could be back to staring down the barrel of a gun at 5pm.
