2024/25 Football Season

No game for us this weekend.
Scotland win away in Greece, not everyone does that, apart from England and the Netherlands!
Let's see if they can do it again tomorrow night.

Yeah mate, dreadful game.
But Carlisle won and play mkdons (franchise) on Tuesday. So it may get tight again..
Home on Friday night, v Cheltenham.
Put pressure on those two below if we win. If!!!!!!
 
Once again there is a lot of pressure on the new England manager.
mostly by the media.
who seem to think that wishing and saying so, it will come true.
it won't.
we do have the players to qualify and progress to maybe the quarter finals.
but the reason we don't do very well out of Europe or in a stadia that is air conditioned.
Is because of the heat and humidity. In the States or ever else there are playing. Our climate dictates, we cannot acclimitise quick enough.
and we don't have the depth in squad to play so many games in such a short time.
I do think that Teuchel is a good coach, but I can't see him surviving time after the world cup.
Unless miracles happen.
 
England V Latvia this evening. I'll be keeping an eye on the scores but not watching it Live. Don't watch telly nowadays due to sky high Licence fee. I mainly use Streams like Amazon and Netflix. Have heard the Government's plans to make us buy a Licence for streaming now. Hope that doesn't come off. There's nowt good on telly anyway nowadays.

So they can get more money out of you, if you want to watch either full games or highlights.
 
Scotland lose 0-3 to Greece, not totally unexpected from this viewer, the 0-1 win away was a flash in the pan.
Clarke coming in for criticism for playing three boys that don't play for their clubs while leaving out a bunch of lads that do. Not great.
Badly missing a goalscorer or three.

and it doesn't look like the U21s are going to be troubling the senior squad anytime soon.
They lost 1-6 to Iceland.
Fife has a larger population than Iceland.
 
Back to the normal footy as we know it. Our lads Travel to Charlton tomorrow for a dinner time kick off. It's going to be a tough one and we could drop out of the play off's if other results go against us. We need Blackpool to beat Bolton. Lets see how it all goes. Our new owner has peed the fans off cos he's raised the season ticket prices. Not a good move.
