Pump
hi all
My just 2yr old is about to go on a pump.
I just wondered if anyone else's in 2yr old is on a pump and what you have found is the best thing to hold the pump-or waistband? She does wear dresses most of the time so can't clip it to trousers. Obviously as she is little I want to minimise the risk of her seeing it and pulling the wire and cannula.
Thanks

Hi, I don't have any children but have a look at www.hid-in.com, they do pump bands which keep the pump and tubing all neat and tidy and tucked away. I'm sure if you contacted the lady and explained you wanted it for a child she would be able to custom make something for her, Katie is lovely and very helpful! :-)

I remember years ago reading a post on another forum from an American lady with a toddler who made pouches/pockets on the back of her daughters dresses and tops. The pump sat in them out of view and out of reach from little fingers. The pump was known as her power pack :)

I think I've seen little backpack and harness type things to hold the pump on the child's back out of reach/sight but I can't for the life of me remember their name. Sorry - not much help, but if I can find a link, I'll put it here.

What pump is she having?

Medtronic have a few accessories for children such as a harness and vest-like tops with pockets in.
