3 mini scotch eggs 1 mini sausage roll bg reading 9.2 after 1 hour. 2 sausages (black farmer) 2 eggs 2 bacon mushrooms and tomatoes bg reading after 1 hour 5.8. Lesson- dont think because you get good readings all the time you are cured lol. i couldnt have a dinner after that little pick off my daughters party plate. back to the turkey celeriac and veg tonight weeeeeeeeeeeee

There's a significant amount of carbs in the scotch egg and sausage roll option.
As you've found, the Full English is an excellent meal for a carb controlling diabetic.

Depending on how you cook your breakfast it needn't be too unhealthy (grill lean bacon, low fat sausages grilled/ grddled, eggs poached or scrambled with a little milk and grilled tomatoes). However you can rarely get low fat sausage rolls and scotch eggs that are tasty. Matteson's do a low fat alternative to bacon rashers in the form of 'Turkey rashers' and I've just bought the new 'lightly smoked version to try. I have often substituted bacon for turkey rashers - not exactly the same but OK none the less.

Just be a little bit careful with the low fat, it is usually complimentary to high carb!.
I get by fine on low carb and no significant fat restrictions.
Trigs, HDL.LDL and HBA1C are fine.

All the best - Steve.

Full English every time, wow. Tends to be the mark of a good hotel too, how good (or otherwise) the cooked breakfast is. Fry your egg in duck or goose fat, that's close to paradise on a plate...
