Yer I did pretty much 13 hours.Hi Mark
Did you fast for around 12hr before the took your blood sample? Triglyceride levels can be raised for several hours after a meal
Here's a couple links you may find useful

@MarkD72 Are you on a Low Carb way of eating 'diet'? I ask because I would be concerned if I had Triglycerides that high and HDL that low.Diagnosed T2 in Dec at 8.1 and agreed to tackle it by diet first b4 considering any drugs.
Since then I have lost 2st and my blood pressure although was not too bad is now perfect.
Got A1C results today and 5.7 so happy with.
That's the good.
In Dec they also took a full lipid test and my triglycerides and LDL high.
I was hoping the last 3 months would also get those down but have actually increased. Doctor now wanting to speak to me probably to discuss drugs to lower them. Not a fan of statins and rather avoid them but probably be open to a fibrate. Anyone have an opinion on fibrates over a Statin.
Just for references Tryglicerides were 5.17 and LDL not calculated on results as Triglycerides over 4.5?
In Dec they were 3.84 and 5.08.
HDL same for both tests at 1.01 & 1.04.
Why would they raise if I'm smashing the A1C? Maybe hereditary?
Yep done low carb since diagnosis in Dec hence my A1C down from 8.2 to 5.7 purely by diet in 3 months.@MarkD72 Are you on a Low Carb way of eating 'diet'? I ask because I would be concerned if I had Triglycerides that high and HDL that low.
I used to have raised Triglycerides and low HDL, but Low carb fixed both of them now the trigs are approx half what they used to be and the HDL is approx double. My LDL is also higher, but it's generally thought (though not by my GP) that LDL hould not be a concern in the context of the rest of the profile taken together with low carb.
Not slim but down to 13.10st from 15.12st. Doctor tried to give me statin today but refused and said would accommodate a fibrate but said she cannot prescribe due to sace rules. Absolutely stupid. It's unusual for LDL and Triglycerides to increase on Low Carb, But Dave Feldman , Dr Tro and Nick Norovits were doing tests on Lean Mass Hyper-responders and discovered that in almost every case, increasing the carbs consumed slightly ( actually seems quite a big increase to me ) appeared to reduce the LDL a fair amount. Would you consider yourelf to now have a slim atheletic body ( ignoring any lack of muscle)?
I haven't tried it myself because:
A). My HDL Is good (as are my Triglycerides) and
B). My LDL is still less than the level at which the first trial of Statins suggested prescribing them and
C). I'm in T2D remission and want to stay that way.
C-peptide? Or c protein?Just an update to last months test results.
Had my yearly wellman checkup last week which due to being diabetic is now a full monty checkover, feet, urine, lipids the lot.
Also requested a C protein test.
A1C 5.7.
C protein 1
Triglycerides 1.08
HDL 1.37
Non HDL 5.81
Over the moon with trigs as reduced from over 5 in a few weeks. HDL also big increase from 1.01.
Every morning I have been having a shot of extra virgin olive oil and a cup of bitter melon tea. Nothing else changed.
C reactive proteinC-peptide? Or c protein?
Units?
OkC reactive protein
