I have success used my pump for three months now! A few issues before I had started had seen my hba1c jump up to 7.7% which I wasn't thrilled about so I knew I needed to work hard!

I'm now going 2-3 weeks between hypos which is great! I'm more relaxed when doing things because I know my basal is right. I thought that maybe the reduced hypos would mean my hba1c would be the same or possible even higher.

I've just had it checked - 6.8% (51) I count this as a mega win as I know it's from stable BG rather than erratic.

One very happy pumper!

Really made-up for you Hale, that is a fantastic achievement in such a short time :)

Thanks guys! I'm chuffed, but more work and I'm sure I can improve even further

Brilliant results :D it is such a good feeling when you get your basal rates correct, life becomes so much more settled diabetes wise. Breaking through the 7% HbA1c brick wall is such a great boost.

Good stuff, well done indeed. I suspect mine may go up a touch from the current 40 which will reflect better management of the exercise induced hypos by being able to reduce basal

It may do, but you have some wiggle room at least. Stopping the exercise hypos has been the best bit!

That makes such a big difference Hale, even after 30+ years I find exercising and bg levels can still be unpredictable, I'm moving ever closer to the idea of a pump.
