had flu jab yesterday and while i was there i weighed my self gone from 124.8kgs to 117.8kgs since beg of sept really pleased! but checked levels before brekkie was 10 and 2 hrs after 1 coffee & 2 slices of toast it was 15 :(
 
Congratulations on your weight loss, Joanne.

Considering that you are still eating toast and getting high BG levels, I'd suggest you read the post for new comers that explains the effect of carbohydrates on BG, plus lots of other information.

Most people find that reducing carbohydrates and starchy vegetables goes a long way to controlling BG levels.

Well done with the weight loss Joanne! And the flu jab - I think its well worth the sore arm for a few hours! I would agree with Indy's post above about lowering your carbohyrate intake to get better levels, its worked me!
 
Well done! But agree with above posts - two slices of toast is a bit of a no no for most on diet only like you. Good work though!

Brilliant job on the weight loss, but I'm gonna agree with the posters above me, try to cut out the bread in the morning, have bacon and eggs, boiled eggs with cooked meat, full fat Greek yogurt with berries, things like that, and watch the weight and BG drop even more.
 
thanks guys,i havent had any bread since,so def will cut that out and the spuds too! had scarmbled egg today instead,thanks for all the advice xxxx :thumbup:
