4 Metformin a day

So I had a check up with my nurse on Monday, she has highered my dose of Metformin to 4 a day. My glucose level has lowered, my blood pressure has gone down and I've lost nearly 2 stone. Just wondering why I'm on 4 a day and what will it do. Thanks in advance
 
I see my db nurse tomorrow. You have me worried. I too have lost over 2 stone, blood pressure down and I am within the rec, bg of 4.5-7. If it was decided to increase my Metformin from 2 to 4 I would refuse unless they had a very good explanation. You do need an explanation.:eek:

I don't think it's anything to worry about, I'm sure they wouldn't increase if it was an issue. Let me know how you get on tomorrow

im on 4 a day, 2 in the morning with 1 glyclazide after breakfast and same at night after tea.....seem to be managing ok bg level wise......long as i remember to take them:)
 
Make sure you get your kidneys checked on a regular basis if you are taking six Metformin a day.
