I'm still fairly new to T1D (May) so just Wondering how to manage the 4am start re testing etc. I'll need a coffee but it's too early to be eating. Obviously I'll check levels before my turn to drive. Many thanks.

novorapidboi26 Well-Known Member Messages 2,828 Location Glasgow Type of diabetes Type 1 Treatment type Pump Oct 25, 2017 #2 If you're on MDI you don't need to do anything special...... if you aren't eating, you don't take your bolus..... if you're driving make sure you're legal before setting off and have hypo treatment near by......

You need to test before driving and every two hours while driving. Other than that, just test as you normally would. If you aren't eating, there is no need to bolus.
