Hi,All,
Been about 4mths now, morningBG average, is 6.8-7.0's, I've been on a virtually no carb diet, think I've lost a bit of weight, ( an old t-shirt fitted me), no help what so ever from anyone, just been looking on here and doing my own research, its pretty disgusting really that t2's bassically are left to fend for ourselfs until we get worse, I wonder were the old saying,'prevention is better than the cure' has gone, I think doc's and gov, rely on sites such as this were the old school (so to speak) doctor the newbies.

Great to hear things are improving for you and that the help you got here and elsewhere has been good advice....... :D

It isn't just T2's that get a raw deal......I am helping a T1 (70 yrs duration) who had also been left to fend for himself. He lost half a leg to Diabetes and was in danger of losing the other until I helped him sort out his horrendously high Bg levels. Simple adjustments to carbs and Insulin. Nobody had given the levels a thought and in fact his GP and Nurse all told him he was doing well !! All he was testing was a fasting level when he woke.......nothing more. I got him testing and his Bg's were averaging 16-18 every day. The GP still thinks that's fine....... It's criminal.
