Did you wash your hands and retest? (It's possible the reading was an error.) Yeah it wansn't an error unfortunately
I'm worried about " a ton" of insulin. Did you calculate a correction dose or just guess wildly? You don't want to go hypo as a result of too much insulin. Yeah i kinda calculated it since 1 unit burn about 40 mg/dl so injected 10 units to cover 400 mg/dl
Do you have anyone with you who can call a doctor or an ambulance if your condition worsens? Yea ofc ( the BG seems to start slightly lowering now )
Keep testing until medical help arrives or you're confident your blood sugar is going back into normal range (and you're not going hypo). Sure thing thank you i ll do so
Is there a chance your insulin has gone off? i dont think so it was fine for the whole day
Failing that, then an infection can send your blood glucose high. probably i accuse a tooth decay that its still getting treated
Or it's possible you have overused an injection site and the insulin you injected did get absorbed properly.... (look up "lipohypertrophy"). hmm i doubt it because i tested after 3 hours of the main inhection and it was around 190 and in my opinion i corrected it with 2 units of unsilin but 4 hours after that i was shocked ...
Good luck.
