6-monthly HbA1c blood test

I have an order sheet to present to the local blood clinic (UK NHS) for a 6-monthly HbA1c blood test so I will be going this week (it's first come first served with no appointment necessary). This will be my first but the sheet only mentioned HbA1c - does anyone know if they will test for blood lipids (cholesterol an triglycerides) and other blood parameters routinely by default or is this just an HbA1c test? If it is just for HbA1c I was wondering if I could ask my surgery to include additional tests?
 
As far as I'm aware, only what's on your order sheet, will be drawn.

You could try and ask your surgery, though this may mean another appointment.

It could be that your doc isn't to concerned about your cholesterol.

OK, that makes sense as my cholesterol was ok at the last test.
 
If you want more tests done then tick the boxes yourself :)
 
Help. The HbA1c blood test shows the long term control as 7.5 mmol/L however i test 4 times a day and it is never in single figures and can go up to mid 20's. How can the blood test consistently be in single figures and my testing figures are consistently high? Thank you.

Vit, sorry to be a pedant, but your signature, where it compares your Lipids. It talks about November 2015, which of course hasn't arrived yet. Is this a typo, and should be 2014, or are you making a prediction? ;)
