Hi I a new to this forum Been a diabetic for 5 years but have not taken it seriously until I was told I will go on Insulin. My sugar levels use to range from 15-18 everyday & I felt terrible. I have been prescribed metoformin slow realease. Only started taking this seriously from 5 Jan & have started taking my tablets. I have watched Jason fungs videos & wanted to know if anyone on here has fasted & for how long ? And do u still take your meds. & is it a 24 hour fast or days & when can you break it. Sorry if I sound silly but I'm quite confused

I can fast anytime I want, a day,a couple of days, intermittently, but mostly do one from going to bed at night till tea time next day. I do this for many reasons. Not only to control and loose weight.

But, some T2s can't fast, if you try keep an eye on what happens to your blood glucose levels.
Make sure you can fast before doing a long, small steps first!

And yes you can take meds!
Unless you are on meds that reduce your bloods quickly, such as glicizide!

Hope that helps
