9 Bars

I have often heard 9 Bars mentioned on the forum so could you please tell me what they are and where I can get them

Most supermarkets now sell "9 bars" normally in a pack 4 box. for approx; £1.99p. ( mostly in free from section )

I hadn't heard of 9Bar until now. I've just looked at their website. They provide an honest view of the ingredients and sugar/honey etc. Sadly they rabbit on about the EatWell plate and DOH guidelines which we could all do without but 9Bar at least seem to use just enough sugar/honey to bind the grains together without overdoing it.

Personally I prefer Nakd bars. They cut out the seeds and are purely made from fruit and nuts (with the occasional bit of soya). The Bakewell Tart ones are lush!

I use both as part of my exercise nutrition and like to have the options. The drawback with the 9-bars is that they tend to lose integrity on a warmer day, but if tehy're carried in a camelbak or similar, that's less of an issue.

You cna buy both from the manufacturers much cheaper than in the shops, adn no P&P on the NAKD either

I've just eaten one and I love them, my teenager cant understand why I love seeds and nuts so much ..................... because they're yummy.
Tesco do a box of four and are slightly smaller in size than the individual bars, so less carbs, The individual bar in Asda's is 70p or when they are on offer, two for £1. There are flax, pumpkin, peanut and fruit and the original, that I know of.

Some of the Nakd bars are 50% dates (if I remember correctly) which spikes me like sugar does. So I stick to the 9bars which barely register on my meter.
