My license was revoked. I have a low hba1c. I filled out the application and paid the fee for a new license, had an initial discussion with my regular consultant, had a cgm for a week, saw an outside consultant who looked at my last 3 months on my blood meter. I was then given a license for only 1 year.

Fast forward a year. I filled in my application form which was sent to me by the dvla without me having to ask. A few weeks later I got a licence for 3 years. Thank you!

Very pleased for you Chris.

I am on a 3 year license as well but was told at the age of 70 had to renew it again so sent off the license in September as birthday was in October and they just rang me saying i do not need a new license until 2017 i said oh great and am still waiting for my license to be returned grrrrr

The three year license is the normal duration you can expect provided your control is acceptable,,,,,,,,,,,,

what acceptable means is you can detect hypos and haven't had any severe ones......
