Hi,
A thought.(Type 2), Low Carb
I wake up most mornings with a high BG reading, of around 7. and this then drops after meals to the mid 5 mark for most of the day.
The high morning figure is probably liver dump?
Has anyone tried to eat a plain biscuit, or something else in the middle of the night when nature calls, to drop the morning reading?
Would/does it work?

I believe some people have tried a non-carb nibble, cheese string or similar, but to little effect. In my mind, this removes the fasting element of the exercise. I've never tried it, but my morning liver dump disappeared all on its own. I don't have one at all now.

Going through a stage of sleep disruption and having a hypo. I did try a couple of digestives. Wether they helped or not. No idea really. Sometimes it did, sometimes it never and I struggled the next day for control.
I have never had the morning liver dump. I have had a very low reading on waking which upset my averages and held up treatment. Maybe something like a fat bomb would be better!

I am not type 2 but surely having even a plain biscuit would make your sugars rise..and not drop as it has carbs in it!
