Crowds of people, my idea of hell would be a huge gathering of any sort!

Heights, scare me to death!
Liars, cheats. poseurs, any kind of violence, thieves and people who take advantage of others.

The way the world is going to hell in a handbasket.

Global warming, the melting ice caps, whaling..I mean what for?!

Cruelty

Having to give up my eat everything philosophy..and I really really dislike consequences.
Good Morning all,

I have a rotten lousy cold, the first since I went onto Glipizide a few weeks ago. I have unfortunately run out of test strips at the moment so can't monitor my bloods. I am fairly confident about what food will spike me and what won't but am wondering if a virus makes a whole lot of difference to blood BG.

Any opinions or experiences with this?

Sickness initiates a stress response in the body which usually increases blood sugar - sometimes dramatically.

However, some illnesses interfere with digestion (particularly if they make you throw up or go to the loo in a hurry!) and this can cause reduced blood sugars. But that is mainly a problem for those on insulin.
