The vat exemption form, I assume this works with any shop that sells stuff. E.g, tests trips and lancets in asda pharmacy? As they are a little cheaper there.

Also in regards to diet fizzy drinks and zero fizzy drinks. Most these have 0g for everything, so are these ok to drink, coke zero, sprite zero, 7up free? Only would want 1 maybe 2 a day as I struggle with water.

Thanks

Scot

Yes you should get zero VAT applied for diabetic "supplies" if you are a diabetic.

Yes again! Like you I have real problems drinking vast quantities of water but have no such problems drinking vast quantities of Caffeine free diet coke. So long as you are happy with the artificial sweeteners used drink as much as you like. I try and drink between 2 and 3 litres of liquid a day.

Thanks, Looking forward to a glass of 7up free :D

I can confirm ASDA took the at off, she looked confused when I gave her the form but did not argue and just did it. Saves £7 odd quid.

I know I may get them free on prescription but not seeing DN untill next week and run out of test strips and lancets from kit when I got the meter. And it definatley helps, I feel it becoming a habit of checking which cannot be a bad thing.

Well, I won't be having 7up free any more. Tasted so sweet, yuck... :D down the sink it went

Never liked 7Up for the same reason.

For quite a long time now, I've been drinking supermarket 'basic, buget, value' brands of lemonades. Although they are not sold as diet drinks, they are vitually sugar free and only contain a trace of carb per glass. Fairly cheap to buy 2 litre bottles and taste ok too.

Hi .
I love and enjoy diet/low calorie lemonade or tonic water.
Aldi's is the LEAST gass'y and tastes great, plus its cheaper too.
Win - win for me.... As they -
Taste great, are the least carbonated, and saves my pennies! :D
Plus a good way to flavour these up is just 'add' your favourite sugarfree cordials
to them.
I cant handle or tollerate any alcohol so do this to add some flavour.
[summerfruits is nice with either]
Hope this helps/
Anna.

'fraid you can't beat ice cold diet coke

I don't like diet coke never have done, don't like the sweetener. I do like coke zero though

You're absolutely right of course, Coke Zero is for men, while Diet Coke is a girl's drink. Explains alot about xyzzy I reckon...

(Full Disclosure: I am currently in rehabilitation programme to replace my serious addiction of Coke Zero with Caffeine Free Diet Coke).
