A couple of questions.

Blisters - how serious do I need to be in trying to get rid of them? I run/play football a few times a week and always get them, probably 99% of the time on each foot. I have tried all sorts to try and stop it but nothing seems to be doing the job.

Also, if you s little lump immediately after injecting does it effect it working at all?

As a diabetic, you need to take good car if your feet. Of course, we all get blisters every now and then - usually can't be helped! If you're getting them all the time, though, I'd suggest you go to a good sports store and get some better shoes and cushioned socks. I run a lot and very rarely get blisters from this. Why? I invested in a good and very well fitted pair of trainers. Definitely recommend you look into this :)

As for your question about the lumps... It can sometimes mean that your insulin is absorbed at a different rate than usual. More the case if you repeatedly inject in that site. If you notice a lump, avoid injecting in the area for a little while and you should be fine. A little extra testing couldn't hurt either, just in case :)
 
If you have blisters then your footwear needs looking at as in size and width of fitting.
 
I've spent a ridiculous amount of football boots etc, had five pairs in the last couple months and they've all been the same. Had insoles made too and they help a little bit doesn't fix it completely.
 
Have you tried using blister plasters to prevent them happening? Obviously you can only do this if you know where they're likely to appear.

Although you've tried different pairs of boots, there's obviously something wrong and you'll have to find out what that is.
 
Tried all sorts of plasters, using kinesiology tape worked for a little bit but not enough.

Do you actually break the boots in gently before actually playing 90 mins playing football?

Have you seen a podiatrist about this? They can look at the boots and your feet and advise what to do.
 
I'd suggest you see a podiatrist and have a gait analysis. You shouldn't be getting blisters all the time, if you are then your footwear is the problem.

I find that if my injection causes a lump it's because I have injected into an overused injection site and yes, I find it affects absorption - the result is that this insulin shot doesn't reduce my BS as expected.
